Notes for HENRY EDWARD SEHY:

According to daughter Edna, Henry went to college to be a priest, after 2 or 3 years he felt he wanted to have a family. An older priest or bishop decided he should return home and explain to parents and family. He did and they wouldn't accept it so they denouced him. Then he moved away. The family was all Catholics, Henry decided to attend different church where he met Gertrude Miller (wife). He was a very intelligent man, Henry spoke German, Italian, French and English. He was a Publisher and Printer. Very handsome and full of humor.

Albert Quant (French) was an Oil man in Augusta, Kansas, moved to Thermopolis WY, they had one son Harold Sudley. She came to visit in Breckenridge TX and decided to stay but then returned to Albert. She (Hazel) left baby with Gertrude (her mother). The babe (Harold) was about 2, he got poisoned from a Ice Cream cone and died in hospital and buried in Breckenridge, TX. She came back, Albert didn't, she was pregnat and stayed from then on with family (her sister Edna). She gave birth to Gertrude Ellen Quant.

Hazel was premature and weighed only 2 lbs. They kept her in a small basket, kept bricks in oven to change often to keep a certain temp. Henry Sehy told us that his wedding ring would slip over her hand and go to the elbow.

Albert Quant (French) was an Oil man in Augusta, Kansas, moved to Thermopolis WY, they had one son Harold Sudley. She came to visit in Breckenridge TX and decided to stay but returned to Albert. She (Hazel) left baby with Gertrude (her mother). The babe (Harold) was about 2, he got poisoned from Ice Cream cone and died in hospital and buried in Breckenridge, TX. She came back, Albert didn't, she was pregnat and stayed from then on with family (her sister Edna). She gave birth to Gertrude Ellen Quant.

 

He passed away in about 1930 from diabetes he also had pneumonia at the time of his death. He was believed to have passed away in California, around Los Angeles. Gertrude Quant never met him.
